The means gas costs are... that cash isn't getting to last terribly long.. lol If you would like something fully, completely different from FL.. Heyy i had faced the same dilemma until I came across the website of Rock water resort!! This resort is located in Morjim. I needed a quick getaway with my friends and wanted something serene , calm but exclusive at the same time. Rock water offered us just that !! The beach was a stone`s throw away, their restaurant Sporting Heroes Rock was amazing, it had a had a wide spread so that both the vegetarians and the non vegetarians would be happy! Along with this their staff as well was extremely polite and helpful.. Other recreational facilities such a pool table and a bar were just seconds away. Goa is a delightful place to be with friends, and that is what I did. You need atleast 3 days if you only want to be at the beach, and a week or so, if it is your first time and you want to tour around the city, the fort, and the churches as well.
